Cello Lessons
Lesson Information and Fees
Cello lessons usually take place in schools either during or outside normal school hours. The lessons are for individuals, offered at a choice of 20 minutes or 30 minutes duration, and for groups of up to three players for 30 minutes duration.
An average of 10 lessons is offered each term totaling 30 lessons in the year. This means that in a term, there may be sometimes more or less than the 10 lessons.
Termly fees of 10 lessons are payable in advance, preferably through direct bank transfer, or by cheque made payable to J R Swanwick
20 minute individual: £12 (10 x £12 = £120)
30 minute individual: £18 (10 X £18 = £180)
30 minute shared lesson: £9 (10 x £9 = £90)
Credits/refunds and withdrawals
Credits are considered at the end of the 30 lesson year. If I, the teacher, am absent from any lessons so that there are less than 30 offered in the year, then those lessons will be credited in full to the next term, the next term’s fees then adjusted accordingly. If a pupil is absent, due to illness, for more than four lessons in a row, these lessons will be credited in full. If a pupil opts to engage in another activity or is absent, for whatever reason, or is ill (unless it is for four consecutive lessons), then this counts as a “lesson offered” and no refund is available.
Notice to withdraw from lessons should be made before the end of the term. This should be done in writing or by email by the parent/carer, (verbal notification by the pupil is not accepted).
